Ankle & Foot Fractures

Ankle & Foot Fracture Expert

Ankle and foot fractures (broken bones) can occur at any age, and are typically as a result of a traumatic injury (acute fracture) or due to a minor repetitive injury (stress fracture). Fractures are treated through a variety of means depending on the overall severity of the injury and the needs of the patient. Minor or stable fractures are often treated by splinting the area with a stiff soled shoe or a walking boot. Fractures that are more severe or unstable usually require surgery to stabilize the affected bone and place it back in position. We take pride in listening to our patients’ goals, and working with them to get them back to normal as quickly as possible.
